I was wondering how Artificial Intelligence could influence my artwork.
The curvilinear tubelike shape was painted from an image created through a computer-generated program that had been ‘fed’ my still life painting of an all-time favourite “Willow Pattern” teacup and saucer.
It was bizarrely captivating and somehow reminded me of coral and the bleaching events afflicting the Great Barrier Reef.
There was a persistent, circular conundrum drifting around my head. About the pressure placed on the reef by industrial and household waste, rising water temperatures, boiling points, sharing a cuppa, snorkelling in search of life and movement, the loss of sentient beings…. our care factor….
