My love of crockery and my innate desire to present little ‘still life’ displays of what I admire around my home, informed this piece.

I love the shapes and curves of the vases, jugs and teapots I collect.
I love when the light hits them and then creates all sorts of movement, shadow and colour.

Finding a piece of Japanese origami paper originally inspired this piece and it evolved as I found more things.
The gold stencil’s were at my daughters rental and the seaweed was packed away for a different art project.

The seaweed is full of life even though it was not in the sea anymore. The colours and shapes are exciting to me.
They naturally formed little floristry displays within themselves.
