Artwork statement:
Abstracted and reimagined motifs and patterns evoke memories of Katherine’s childhood home filled with flock and patterned upholstery, wallpapers and floor coverings.
Drawing upon those memories, each of the six sections were created separately and later stitched together with metallic embroidery thread to emulate a woven wall tapestry.
Katherine hopes to one day create this work in larger scale.
