Mountain continues my exploration of textile waste and the negative social and environmental impacts of over-consumption. Mountains of imported clothes left unsold are a common sight in landfills around the world. People affected by these landfills search for usable garments amongst the rubbish, looking for items that they can wear or sell. By transforming discarded textiles into paper pulp, I aim to highlight the embedded histories of the material, and stress the importance of considering the past and future of the items we consume.
