Artist Statement:
Watercolour is the perfect medium for conveying different forms of light, from cast shadows to reflections. The shiny surfaces on this vintage Volkswagen Beetle were calling to be painted, and transferred beautifully on to paper. There are so many intricate details in this image each telling a story and allowing the viewer to imagine what was happening in that moment in time.
