I was having a conversation with a dear friend who is very successful. When discussing how she met her partner she said to me ” you can never tell anyone I moved across the country for a boy.” Thinking about this later I kept thinking how brave she was to move for love. Guarding your heart is easy. Being vulnerable isn’t weak, it’s radical. To truly love and allow yourself to truly be seen is terrifying. Loving anyway is the ultimate revolutionary act. Stripped of everything, all living creatures will always be left with a heart, both the literal beating heart and the capacity for love.
