Join Katherine Marmaras for a workshop where you will deconstruct images of Geelong’s old and new design elements to create a collage that incorporates the known in a different way. Collages created at the workshops, will be on display at Geelong Art Space during Design Week, for all to see. This event provides an opportunity for participants to take a closer look at the less obvious design elements that make Geelong a UNESCO City of Design. Participants will use collage and mixed media techniques to combine repurposed materials, inspired by local surroundings, with recognisable images of Geelong. Each participant will create a unique image that celebrates the design history and evolving character of Geelong.
When creating their collage, participants will be encouraged to consider the impact design has on their lives.
